Aromatherapy is a wonderfully natural approach to treating menopause, and a unique way of instilling empowerment to women making this transition to a new phase of life.By returning women's health care to a more holistic and harmonious state, this course is well suited for those who would like to use more natural forms therapeutic approaches with female clients entering, or still part of, the menopause journey.

Menopause and HRT (Module One)
This module takes the student away from the media-generated hysteria surrounding this natural process by providing a clear overview of menopause, including the symptoms commonly associated with this transition.
This module then explores "treatments" for menopause, specifically discussing the sometimes controversial use of HRT, for the benefit of the student.
Working with the client (Module Two)
This module can be considered a "stand alone" module, easily applied to other courses here at ACOA or to complement previous study.
This module will provide you with all the basic knowledge and skills to confidently work with clients; having the ability to help clients clarify problems, as well as implement treatments and strategies to restore health and wellbeing, is pivotal in the career of any natural of holistic therapies.
Working with the Aromatherapeutic Treatment Plan (Module Three)
Using aromatherapy to help alleviate the symptoms of menopause, or even the side-effects of HRT, is a wonderful way to introduce a purely holistic approach to women's health care. This module explores how to develop and manage an aromatherapeutic treatment plan, how to explain the plan to the client within a clinic guidelines, and the importance of reviewing the treatment.
This module is a great resource and can easily complement other aromatherapy-based modules!
The Holistic Approach (Module Four)
The holistic approach to health care, especially in regards to women, is a way to ensure that the client is receiving the treatment and advice based on the "whole" and not just a symptom.
This module acts as a great introduction to holistic therapies and their incorporation into menopausal treatment and advice, and is thoroughly recommended to those students interested in holistic approaches to health care.
The assessment is optional for this course though it is required if you wish to obtain your certificate.
