Botany & Origins: Hiba is a medium-sized coniferous tree endemic to Japan, where it is also known as asunaro. It is often found in gardens and planted close to temples.

Aroma Profile: Hiba wood oil is described as having a dry, woody aroma with a somewhat peculiar sharp undertone reminiscent of cedarwood, Juniperus virginiana.

Ingredients: The chemical composition of hiba wood oil was reported as follows:
